Other Ways to Volunteer
Volunteering to Transport
What is transporting about?
Rescues often need help getting a dog from a shelter to the vet clinic or to a foster home, or from one foster home to another. Although we are concentrated in Montgomery, we often pull dogs from shelters in the surrounding 100 mile area.
What does transporting require or cost?
The cost is the gasoline and time.
How do I sign up to volunteer to transport?
Please fill out the volunteer application on this website.
Volunteering to Process Applications
Anyone interested in adopting or volunteering is required to complete an on-line application in which the applicant gives names and contact information for 3 personal references and vet references. Phone calls are made to verify information. After the reference calls a home visit is conducted for applicants wishing to adopt or foster. We need volunteers to help with the reference calls and home visits. We will provide you with information and instructions for these duties.
Donating Toward Care and Vet Expenses
Any amount you are able to donate to the care of these dogs will be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine, the veterinary care required to get these dogs up to health is often far exceeds our adoption fees.
