The report was a source of attention partly due to Mut 22 coins franchise mode, which is a topic of contention with certain Madden players. In fact, the roadmap originally was a response the fixmaddenfranchise campaign that circulated Twitter between mid-2020. It was initiated following reports that EA did not plan improvements to franchise mode in that year.
Since that time, EA has released new commissioner tools, as well as other improvements as well as a major overhaul of the scouting systems. Madden 22 also introduced an extended scenario engine, seasonal cutscenes and coaching skill trees.
However, players continue to identify various areas in which franchise mode has the potential to improve compared to its competitors, from the relative lack of customization to the numerous bugs.
Although EA Sports wouldn't provide any additional information, it is possible that additional improvements are planned for some point next year. The changes could include franchise relocation enhancements promised in the original plan in Madden 22. Expect more details in 2022.
