Minnesota Wild center Ryan Hartman has been issued a fine of $5 Marcus Johansson Hoodie,000 for dangerously tripping St. Louis Blues forward Sammy Blais on Thursday. The trip in question can be seen in the video below. Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman has been fined $5,000 (maximum allowable under the CBA) for a angerous trip on StlBlues forward Sammy Blais. Certainly a dangerous play that did not need to leave Hartman off the ice heading into the playoffs Ryan Hartman Face Mask, but is worthy of something a bit more than the two-minute minor penalty he received during Thursday regular season finale. This comes after weeks of unrelated criticism of the NHL Department of Player Safety, for their inability to suspend Washington Capitals winger Tom Wilson for a much more dangerous play against the New York Rangers. It definitely been a busy month for the league safety department. Even if Hartman wallet is a little bit lighter, he will play an important role in Minnesota upcoming first-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights that starts on Sunday. Likely centering a line with Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello, the sparkplug down the middle will be in charge of taking on a large portion of offensive draws with those two on the ice. Wee counting down the hours now https://www.storeminnesotaonline.com/Kyle_Rau_Pet_Jersey-156.

The Dallas Stars played the first 20 minutes of their game against the Detroit Red Wings to a 1-0 lead that easily could have been bigger in favor of the Victory Green team. (Well, that their color even if the reverse retro uniform looks more like the Storm Troopers from the Star Wars movies. )Roope Hintz was once again the most dynamic player on the ice, on either side of the puck. He led the team with a ridiculous 79% Corsi For according to Natural Stat Trick, and was on ice for 11 scoring chances for and just three against. The only player to have a better differential in that metric was Miro Heiskanen, who was on the ice for 15 scoring chances for to six against https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Tyrie_Cleveland_Flag-697. But hockey is a dumb game. In the middle period, the Stars outplayed the Red Wings and yet, the score was tied after 40 minutes. Detroit scored on two of their four shots in the period, with Luke Glendening notching both goals. Jason Robertson scored between them to give the Stars their second lead of the game, but it wasn enough to get them out of the game with a regulation win. The second Glendening goal was one that appeared to deflect off of Joe Pavelski and then off a Red Wing in front of a screened Anton Khudobin, tying the game in a very 2021 Dallas Stars manner. The Stars weathered an early storm by the Red Wings at the start of the third period. If you had tuned in at that point and didn know which team was working to get into the playoffs P.J.Locke T-Shirt, it be perfectly understandable if you thought that team was the one wearing red. They came out absolutely dominating the puck possession, and even managed to score a goal. Dallas got lucky in that it was scored as a direct result of the most obvious goaltender interference seen to date and immediately waived off on the ice Marquiss Spencer Pillow Cover. The remainder of the period went scoreless for both sides, with Dallas eventually taking the advantage in shots on goal 12-8. OVERTIME! AGAIN!Yes, overtime again. An eternal mood this season, as the Stars head to overtime yet again. 1Give Thomas Greiss full credit, he came up with some excellent saves as Dallas peppered him in the five minutes of three-on-three overtime. But neither team scored, and the game went to a shootout. It another format the Stars have been very unsuccessful in this season. After Jason Robertson scored in the first round followed immediately by Dylan Larkin, the next three rounds went scoreless for both sides. Then Denis Gurinaov, that has found his goal scoring rhythm the last couple of games, came in and played hero. Khudobin made the clutch save, and the Stars took two points. Scoreboard watching tonight for the Stars included the Columbus Blue Jackets falling to the bottom of the division and the Nashville Predators also taking a win over the Chicago Blackhawks. That opens a little more of a gap between Dallas and Chicago, but the teams are pacing each other for the fourth and final playoff spot. Dallas does have three games in hand, and with the second half of a back-to-back against Detroit at home tomorrow, one of those games in hand will be made up and a win or loss could go a long way to setting up the stretch run here for the Stars.

After yesterday mile-high dopamine shot of Cole Perfetti, the Winnipeg Jets had work to do in rounds 2 through 7 of the NHL draft. With only a handful of picks remaining in the metaphorical locker, the Jets needed to get good value in every spot they picked. The results are. . . interesting, to say the least. Pick 40. Daniel Torgersson (LW) - Frolunda J20Torgersson is going to be a hotly debated pick for many years to come, in part because high-end attacker Noel Gunler was drafted directly after. Many fans may be wondering if the Swedish winger, noted for his size and strength, is the next Logan Stanley. The truth is something much more intriguing. While Torgersson is certainly not the dynamic creator that Gunler is, he brings strong skating, a quality release, good defensive instincts, and a powerful net-drive to create offense. Photo by John Delaney/NHLI via Getty ImagesThe projection is currently somewhere in the middle-6. Torgersson is someone who was probably a fair choice in isolation at 40th overall, but given the talent available, could have been taken later. I do like his strength while in possession and feel he might have some effective forechecking ability if he harnesses his frame to its full potential. Obviously, his agility and turning speed need some work. His acceleration, given his size, is also a bit lacking. With continued development and ice-time, though, the Jets might have a quality 2nd or 3rd line power-winger to offer offensive play-driving ability Andrew Copp Flag. Pick 133. Anton Johannesson (D) - HV71 Jr. If Torgersson was a bit of a miss at 40th overall, Johannesson is a bonafide steal at pick 133. The gifted Swedish defender is actually far more attuned to the attacking side of the game. His up-ice passing, especially from deeper positions, was often effective at springing breakouts and creating offensive opportunities for linemates. Johannesson also has decent positional awareness when backchecking and forcing turnovers. While Anton is offensively gifted, he has some notable cosmetic issues that could hold him back https://www.storewinnipeg.com/Jordie_Benn_Flag-275. He genuinely a small kid, and often gets outmuscled along the walls and in corner battles against other skaters. He also has a tendency to lose track of opposing forwards and can struggle to make the proper defensive reads near the net. Johannesson passing, while dangerous for his opponents, can also be a double-edged sword. He frequently attempted stretch passes that got picked off, or if they did work, would never make it at the NHL level. Anton will need to have his tendencies reigned in, but the raw tools are unbelievable. He has the skillset of an offensive wunderkind, especially when controlling the puck. If he can stay healthy, he could become a killer backend QB. Pick 164. Tyrel Bauer (D) - Seattle ThunderbirdsIl be honest. . . I don know much about Bauer https://www.storewinnipeg.com/David_Gustafsson_Hoodie-73, beyond some limited details. He apparently one of Seattle better blueliners, which says a surprising amount given how bad the team is. He a big right-handed D with decent mobility and vision. Supposedly, he also been effective at using his stick to break up offensive rushes, but additional details are scarce. He seems like someone Winnipeg could eventually turn to on the third-pairing but I not eyeing him for an NHL role as much as I am with Johannesson.

Game Highlights:First Period - The Avalanche were the first team on the board tonight. Despite the hot start from the Blues, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare put one past Jordan Binnington https://www.stprostoreonline.com/Brian_Sutter_Pillow_Cover-108. The Blues failed to clear the puck out of the Avs offensive zone. Despite the fact that there were three Blues sweaters near the puck along the boards, the Avs player still won the puck. The puck made it to the middle of the ice to where Bellamare scored MacKenzie MacEachern T-Shirt. Not great Bob whoever you are. Around five minutes later Vince Dunn tied the game at one. The Blues were on the power play and the second unit was on the ice. Mike Hoffman and Tyler Bozak moved the puck around a bit. Bozak then made a slap pass to Dunn who tipped the puck past surprise starter Devan Dubnyk. David Perron scored to make it 2-1. . . What He didn Oh right the ref had a case of premature whistleazation. So goal didn count and the Blues and Avs were tied after one. Shitty Second Period. . . Unless youe an Avs fan - J. T. Compher scored less than three minutes into the period. Compher skated right in and cleaned up the loose puck in front of the net. Literally untouched. Nice job everybody. The Avs added to their lead with a power play goal. Just 12 seconds into said power play, Mikko Rantanen launched a one timer and scored. A wide open Brandon Saad gave the Blues a sad or Saad if you wanna go full bad pun. Saad scored from the slot to give the Avs their third goal of the second. Third Period - Mike Hoffman scored twice in the final frame and the Blues resembled a hockey team again for twenty minutes. Hoffman first goal almost wasn a goal. Thankfully they reviewed it and it was ruled a good goal Jacob De La Rose Pillow Cover. The puck had already crossed the goal line before Dubnyk knocked the net loose. Hoffman second goal came on the power play. David Perron found Hoffman open for the one time shot. The Blues had their chances, but the second period sunk them. That and for the love of all that is everything. . . Someone please tell this team to shoot the puck. Too many passes boys. The Blues play the Coyotes on Saturday in a very important matchup. Despite all the passing from the Blues final shots on goal were 34-28 in favor of them. The Blues held the Avs to just one power play goal on three chances.

After having an Israelite-like wandering searching for a starting quarterback after Steve McNair was traded, the Titans finally found stability at the position with Ryan Tannehill. Titans fans know all too well how hard it is to find a franchise quarterback https://www.tennesseefanstoreonline.com/Kalija_Lipscomb_Face_Mask-482. That part of what makes it so amazing that the Texans have let the situation with Deshaun Watson deteriorate as much as they have. They have that guy. Good luck finding another one!Field Yates of ESPN wrote an article predicting the starting quarterback for all 32 NFL teams https://www.tennesseefanstoreonline.com/Miller_Forristall_T_shirt-100. Of note to us, the Titans are the only team predicted to have the same starter in 2021. As for the rest of the teams in the division, Yates predicts that the Texans end up drafting Justin Fields after trading Watson to the Carolina Panthers. That probably means that the Texans would have to trade some of the draft capital they receive in the Watson trade to get Fields. As for the Colts, Yates predicts they will trade for Carson Wentz. Listen, Wentz was great early in his career, but he looked broken last year. If anyone can fix him it is probably his former offensive coordinator and current Colts head coach Frank Reich. The Colts have a really talented roster. Is Wentz the final piece to get the over the top I be nervous as a Colts fan. The Jaguars end up with Trevor Lawrence in this exercise Matthias Farley Hoodie. No surprise there. Also of note, Field Yates has the Patriots trading for our old friend Marcus Mariota. That would be something to watch.

Is Chase YoungThe Next J. J. Watt That path can be envisioned. Good Morning Football on the NFL Network recently discussed which players will blow our minds in 2021 Justin Britt Flag. . It was panelist Kyle Brandt who pinpointed the Washington Football Team No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and the Defensive Rookie of the Year as themind-blower for the coming season . . . And as a player who might be on a Watt-like track. READ MORE: Chase Young - Best 25 Under 25Young finished with 7. 5 sacks last year, but that isnt the point. The point is about second-year growth from pass-rushers. There are tangible reasons to believe that Young numbers will jump in 2021, one of them being, as Brandt points out, how he grew as last season marched on https://www.houstongearonline.com/Terrance_Mitchell_Hoodie-182. If you can think of a more explosive, more talented defensive player right now that you want to buy stock in, Ill go to Washington and say Chase Young. I think there are special, big, big-time things coming from him. One year in, it seems like he got better as the year went on. And then came Brandtsecond-year pass-rusher performance list Lonnie Johnson Jr.Hoodie. To wit:J. J. Watt 20. 5 sacksDerrick Thomas 20 sacksAldon Smith 19. 5 sacksVon Miller 18. 5 sacksReggie White 18 sacksWatt, of course, is the greatest player in Houston Texans history, a multi-time NFL Player of the Year now in Arizona and someday, in Canton. This is the list that I think Chase Young is going to be on, Brandt said. Hes that good, that fast, that explosive. That whole rookie year had the vibe of you aint seen nothing yet.

The Dolphins are going undefeated and winning the Super Bowl. End of story. But let be realistic, the Dolphins are a young team and are no where near perfect. Last season they won 10 games and sadly missed the playoffs. There should be no reason why the Dolphins cannot equal that win total again or perhaps more in 2021. The NFL announced today that the salary cap for 2021 will be $182. 5 million. The cap in 2020 was $198. 2 million. This is the first time the salary cap has dropped. That is obviously a significant drop https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Sylvester_Williams_Pillow_Cover-663, but as Andrew Brandt pointed out, it isn a surprise:Teams (and players) knew this was coming since July. Well-managed teams have had a plan Bradley Chubb T-Shirt. 1So now we find out how ell-managed the Titans are. Spotrac currently has the Titans with just over $14 million in cap space. That gives them a little bit of wiggle room, but they have some pretty easy ways to create more cap space by re-working the contracts of guys like Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry. They can give them some signing bonus money now. That would put cash in their pockets now and spread the money out across future years. It a pretty easy decision. In case you are worried about the Titans only having $13 million in cap space https://www.denverproshoponline.com/Shannon_Sharpe_Pet_Jersey-650, the Saints currently have -$57. 7 million in space. Of course none of these numbers matter because the cap isn real.
