Joining a faction is always one of the most important parts of the New World. There are three factions to chose from: The Covenant, Marauders, and Syndicate. The Marauders believe in strength through military force, while the Syndicate pursues knowledge as a means to power. Finally, the Covenant is a fervent group of individuals that has charged itself with cleansing the land of heretics and defilers so that its true holy nature can flourish and justice can be restored. But in this article, let's take a look at the Marauders in more detail. The Marauders are a ruthless military force bent on establishing a free nation where anyone with the strength to do so can prosper and profit. If you have a knack for combat and leveling up your Strength stat, this is the place for you. These muscular maniacs believe that Aeternum is a land worth fighting for, and only those strong enough will claim it. To side with them, you'll need to hit level 10 and complete a quest that introduces all three, then head to the Marauders leader and pledge your allegiance. Faction Missions are special tasks that players can undertake to gain standing with their Faction and generate influence within the controlled Territory or to undermine the influence of an opposing Faction in their Territory. Faction missions also award Faction Tokens and NW Coins which can be exchanged for special rewards unique to each Faction, such as Weapons and Armor. Faction Missions are divided into PvE and PvP types, each with its own varying objectives. To run a town or even an entire region, your Faction will need to be working together to complete missions and improve its standing. If your Faction rules the roost, you'll get loot bonuses, better crafting yields, and even deal more damage to enemies. Basically, the more Territory controlled, the more powerful players become. There's no true way to tell which Faction will eventually take over Aeternum, though players should still be wary of which they decide to align with. New World players only get one faction change for free, and after that, it's 120 days to change factions again. There's also no way to suddenly join the winning team, as players are prohibited from joining a faction that's controlling most of the Territory. That's what we currently know about New World's Marauders faction and how it differs from the others. For more about New World, please visit here.
